I grew up in a Christian household loving horror and anything creepy. I did end up accepting Jesus when I began to truly grasp what the Bible and ultimately who God was, and I really want to glorify God through writing books of the horror/grimdark genre. I’ve seen so many Christians state that horror is always so demonic and can no way be used to worship the Lord but I see it different. I feel since we’re living in such a time where people have been so violent, so ruthless, so horribly despicable for the fist time in ages, I really think I can use it to expose the true nature of our world and not glorify what’s happening IN the story, but glorify God THROUGH the story. I want to show people you can be a light in the darkness while facing horrific things. I want to show the love of Christ. I want the antagonist/killer to end up accepting Jesus at the end of the story to show just how much God cares about all his Children. I wanna float in a most peculiar way.
